Growing up with a big family in Florida, one of nine kids, I performed in every school play from kindergarten through high school and in many local community theater productions. When Hollywood came to my small town in Florida I got my first opportunity to work on a feature film as a young girl, a featured extra player and I was hooked. I moved to Los Angeles after a brief stint at college but soon left for New York City to study theater/acting and perform on a New York stage, NYC was an excellent tool for acting training, stage work as well as life training. I’ve had the privilege to study with some prolific acting coaches both in NYC and LA and thrilled to have recently studied with Deborah Aquila in her master Stella Adler technique class. The 34 minute short film ‘Turn Around’, a story about a woman who tries to reconcile society's expectations of her as a wife and mother with her secret desire to fulfill her exhibitionist fantasies, but soon finds herself weaving the tangled web of a double life granted me a “BEST ACTRESS IN A SHORT FILM” nomination at the Method Fest in Los Angeles. A film critic review stated “The role of Christy Logan gave Kelly an opportunity to portray a woman wracked with human despair, major insecurities and desperate lifestyle struggles, this character has brought forth an awareness of the depth of acting Kelly is capable of achieving.” I’ve written one full length screenplay, a crime, drama thriller, several short form screenplays, horror and dark comedy are my passions and I’m working on audiobook voiceovers. My passions in life are riding horses, storytelling, playing my guitar, singing as well as gardening and loving the outdoors.
